## Went to a show by myself

I went to the Chaepter/Piracy/Perfect Worker show last night. I know it's not a big feat to be able to go to things by myself, but I feel like yesterday was one of my better attempts at doing so.

This was a perfect roster of bands as well. There were so many times when I was like, "Damn, I wanna make those sounds on guitar." They are all very talented bands, and it's inspiring to hear music that is both very freeform while still having such a knack for groove. We all must get more No Wave NEOW. I love Piracy's three-piece vocal setup and Colin's table of percussion. They previewed a new song they're working on. Julio said it was just instrumental right now, but I think it was incredibly solid in its incubator stage. Perfect Worker had a whole Grandmother Moog during their set. Uggghhhhhh I want one so baaaaaaaddddd. Chaepter's set of new songs is so fun and danceable. 

Back to my point about interactions, I've tried to go to shows by myself previously, but it always came off anxious and awkward to me. I felt like I needed a middleman to talk to other people. When I first got to the show, I did feel them awkward jitters again, but they went away once the show started. I even got to talk to @punkreflex and @moldgold222 for a bit about new movies and social media's love for buzzwords over substance. It's like a Flounder post, but in real life :O (This is a joke, I swear I'm not that online). I also got to talk to Ayethaw and Shane of Chaepter about Flounder, STL Living, and bands/venues in the city that I enjoy. Super down-to-earth peeps, which I very much appreciate. 

This Saturday, I'm meeting up with some friends to go to the City Museum. I shall report back to the flounderverse on how it goes. ∠(‘-‘  )
