A trip to the City Museum

I haven't been to the City Museum since 7th Grade (a whole decade ago wahhhhh). It was one of the first things I wanted to do after planning my super epic awesome post-grad summer. I went with the Goo Man crew, Cosi, and one of my best friends that I've known since 5th Grade. Honestly, going back kind of felt like experiencing it for the first time again. For one, I'm amazed at the number of crevices I could fit in at my grown age. There were also some new spaces that I hadn't seen. They have an aquarium now with fishies that will EAT YOUR FLESH AHHHHHH. It felt so weird, but I liked seeing the amount of fish just munchin' on my hand. There's a new exhibit called the Labyrinth that really was less a maze and more like various obstacles frankenstyled together, which I still found charming. @gooman kept telling kids who walked by that he was their age when he first went in the maze lol. We went down the 5-story slide since the 10-story was closed. I still screamed all the way down, which Luckas said sounded like I was falling down the steps with how bumping it was. After a quick slushie break, we conquered Monstrocity. Cosi brought knee pads, which were probably the smartest decision. A day later, I feel the bruises on my caps. Seeing the skyline from the top of the planes and the little castle was beautiful and almost made me emotional. I remembered being so scared of climbing up to the plane as a kid, so I didn't do it as much. Now doing it, it's a pretty sight, and I recommend anyone going to try and get to the top. We ended the trip by going to the Monster Slide. Spinning all of the bars while going down, Super Fun :D. Hitting my leg right before it ended, Not Fun D:. Nevertheless, I found the trip to be quite a successful hangout.

Afterwards, we got Fitz in the Loop, another place I hadn't been in a minute. Being able to re-experience these places with friends has been so nice. The last couple of months, I've been feeling in limbo with some of the people I started my college experience with. As people have grown into their adult lives, I've seen some of my relationships that I deemed closed starting to fork. It doesn't feel great to recognize that slow divide, but I guess I'd rather a season end smoothly than with cut ties. With these get-togethers, I appreciate the bonds that have continued to stick, and I'm excited for more gatherings this summer.
